Who is a sworn translator?

A sworn translator is a person who has sworn an oath in notary publics and is authorized to make certifiable translations at the notary publics. Where each translator has sworn, his/her oath is valid only in that notary public. Therefore, you should have a document translated by the notary public to which you are directed. You can't have it notarized at every notary. The reason for this is that the translator making your translation is the sworn translator of the notary public office to which you are referred.

For example, your translation has been carried out by a translator who has sworn in at the 1st Notary Public of Kadıköy and you have your documents ready for notary approval. You cannot have these documents approved by Beşiktaş 3. Notary Public. A translator may have a certificate of oath in more than one notary public, and a translator may be a sworn translator of more than one notary public. For this reason, we recommend that you consult the translation office where you have given the translation job, at which notary offices you can get approval.
